Dude, this game was SUPERB. It mastered the art of uneasiness. There were no jumpscares, but it still managed to make me feel very unnerved and terrified. Can't wait to see what other games you plan on making. :)
This was the second game in the video, and I think I've been on a streak with Mandela Catalog. Because this game gave me nothing but those vibes! I loved it, especially the kid and the little bit near the end. Might revisit this for the other endings. Great game though, I loved it!
This game is fucking great, atmosphere is creepy, especially this scary kid,his look is gave me creeps, despite this game dont have any jumpscares,it was amazingly eeire. Although I didnt get how to get third and other endings, though i tried different options,5\5
I loved this. I know this type of horror is super popular right now but dam is it honestly super good and unique. The same itself captures it well. Thanks for your hard work. I will donate to future projects if you let me know thank you!
The vibe is really scary and puts pressure on you. Athough I find it kinda weird, I don't really get what to do or what it's all about. Very cool game tho.
If the dev is reading comments here, and is willing to give me a hint: what is the context of "char"? I assume "key" means it's possibly a vigenere cipher for the all-text code in the game, but I'm stumped on "char".
Pros and cons are down below) Check out my video here if you are curious (tho I played before the update)):
Advantages:
This is an amazing horror game! It's very creepy and I was afraid of getting jumpscared for the entire time playing. I was checking the game out before the update tho (in the video) and now the game even has 3 different endings which immediately adds replayability and the feeling like your choices mattered. Huge props!
Disadvantages:
In my humble opinion, when a project is inspired by something, it shouldn't fully replicate it. Maybe it would be nice to add something fresh to the Mandela Catalogue template like some other games did (for example "the mandela invasion"). But it doesn't make the game worse, just my personal suggestion :3
Overall:
Easily 5/5 star game here on itch.io! Can't wait for more project by you!!
The title screen was left to run for a while because I was trying to find my charger for my laptop. Just as I was coming back to plug it in I heard that fucking robotic whisper.
I literally teared up a bit - that scared the shit out of me - and I hadn't even clicked start yet.
honestly my first experience with analog horror games and i'm glad this game didn't end up being 50 billion years long or whatever
curious about what else you're going to do in the future and perhaps this game too, i mean, multiple endings? the 3 rules you gotta follow in case the letter isn't real? idk man, i might be wrong but i feel like there's more to come and i would to see what else you have in store
Sometimes it's much more terrifying when a game doesn't relay on Jumps scares and uses the atmospheres, sounds, and world the game sets in. I love the Mandela catalogue so this games right up my alley.
got bored and decided to mess around with 8E2A14 and EVGBFMAKVFC so i turned 8E2A14 into heban using a=1 and z=26 and truned EVGBFMAKVFC into numbers 5 22 7 2 6 13 1 11 22 6 3=98 and took the name avram from the game so haban avram 98 and actually got a google reasult about brain and behavior research where all 3 of these elements fit weather its a name or year (1998) and its probably a coincidence but i thinks its cool and i just wanna know if im on the right track or if i just look like a moron
Yo, was this a part of the brackeys jam? I feel like I remember playing it. Congrats on how far it is coming, even if I am wrong and it wasn't a submission. :)
Oh hi! Yes, it was originally a submission to the Brackeys jam but I wanted to add the three endings and clean it up a bit but didn't want to wait until the rating period was over to modify it so I just removed the submission haha. And thanks btw

I got all the endings! Definitely brought the creep factor. Well done!

I am LOVING this Analogue Horror genre that is getting popular! Another great edition to the list of games in the category :)

I LOVE this game! It is so well done, I can't wait to see what your future games are!
cool
does anyone know what the "fransisco estrada 19" photo is of?
the renaissance looking one that flashes
So I looked into The 8E2A14 code, found out that it was a hexadecimal color code for a rust reddish colo
THIS WAS COOL
Can you export to linux?
and is this made in godot?
This was made in Godot. I can export it to Linux but I don't have anywhere to test that export on at the moment.
lol, i guessed it from the buttons
Yes. I would've changed them but I liked how they looked so I just left them like that haha.
Markiplier playeD this :D

Very nicely done my man. Absolute gem of a game!

You're onto something, but not in the right direction.
well thanks for letting me know
I imagine it was just to move the story but nowhere in the US is it a crime to not help someone you think is injured lmao
I'm aware.
I love this short game. I do want to know, if the date on the end of the story is a continuation of the game.
It is.
This was so well made! Though short, I enjoyed it a lot. Makes the player very uncomfortable, as well as confused. Wonderful job, Dev!
Is there a hidden ARG in this or are the 8E2A14 and EVGBFMAKVFC codes for nothing?
They do mean something.

Yeah, that makes sense. :)
