The title screen was left to run for a while because I was trying to find my charger for my laptop. Just as I was coming back to plug it in I heard that fucking robotic whisper.
I literally teared up a bit - that scared the shit out of me - and I hadn't even clicked start yet.
Sometimes it's much more terrifying when a game doesn't relay on Jumps scares and uses the atmospheres, sounds, and world the game sets in. I love the Mandela catalogue so this games right up my alley.
got bored and decided to mess around with 8E2A14 and EVGBFMAKVFC so i turned 8E2A14 into heban using a=1 and z=26 and truned EVGBFMAKVFC into numbers 5 22 7 2 6 13 1 11 22 6 3=98 and took the name avram from the game so haban avram 98 and actually got a google reasult about brain and behavior research where all 3 of these elements fit weather its a name or year (1998) and its probably a coincidence but i thinks its cool and i just wanna know if im on the right track or if i just look like a moron
Yo, was this a part of the brackeys jam? I feel like I remember playing it. Congrats on how far it is coming, even if I am wrong and it wasn't a submission. :)
Oh hi! Yes, it was originally a submission to the Brackeys jam but I wanted to add the three endings and clean it up a bit but didn't want to wait until the rating period was over to modify it so I just removed the submission haha. And thanks btw
It might just be me, but I was leaning as far away from the screen as possible thinking there'd be a jumpscare every second. This game does a wonderful job of keeping someone on their toes.
I left the game feeling completely uncomfortable Dev, thanks for that haha It's nice to see a game that can get under your skin and scare you without having to utilize a hundred jump scares. I'm really starting to dig this subgenre of horror games!
Really Interesting game, it felt like something I would have to take to enter a secret society, that I would have to perceive things beyond the world. I do stand by my choices, that moment with the child really built up the paranoia, I do not trust that if I went to help I would not be killed.
Great Game, can’t wait to see what you create next.
I played Maple County a couple of months ago which was also inspired by Alex Kister’s work and I love how your game has the similar atmosphere but is still its own thing. I really enjoyed this, especially the one, super small thing at the end, holy smokes, that was so effective, what a simple but great idea. This was fun and creepy!

Very nicely done my man. Absolute gem of a game!

You're onto something, but not in the right direction.
well thanks for letting me know
I imagine it was just to move the story but nowhere in the US is it a crime to not help someone you think is injured lmao
I'm aware.
I love this short game. I do want to know, if the date on the end of the story is a continuation of the game.
It is.
This was so well made! Though short, I enjoyed it a lot. Makes the player very uncomfortable, as well as confused. Wonderful job, Dev!
Is there a hidden ARG in this or are the 8E2A14 and EVGBFMAKVFC codes for nothing?
They do mean something.

Yeah, that makes sense. :)
So creepy. I love it. Only got one ending on my video here but will definitely play around to fins the other endings!

if I get a real letter, I am going to be so afraid LOL!!!!
I want my letter
Reminded me a lot of Maple County! Nice creepy atmosphere, it felt like a nice set up for a future, larger game. Hope you continue with it!
